4.1-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Monday, Feb. 3. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 2:56 a.m., had its epicenter 363 kilometers southwest of Sarangani. Depth of focus was 85 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.6-magnitude earthquake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Sunday, Feb. 2. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 3:54 a.m., had its epicenter 171 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of focus of 136 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 7:18 p.m., had its epicenter 25 kilometers northeast of Digos. It had a depth of focus of 28 kilometers. (Eagle News)–A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Friday, Jan. 31. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 5:46 p.m., had its epicenter 62 kilometers northeast of Burgos. Depth of focus was one kilometer. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.2-magnitude quake hits Pangasinan

(Eagle News)–A 3.2-magnitude earthquake struck Pangasinan on Friday, Jan. 31. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 6:16 a.m., had its epicenter 87 kilometers southwest of Agno. It had a depth of focus of 18 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

Rainfall advisory hoisted over parts of N. Luzon

(Eagle News)–A rainfall advisory has been hoisted over parts of Northern Luzon. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said light to moderate rains are expected over Burgos, Bangui and Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte. (Eagle News)–A rainfall advisory has been hoisted over parts of Northern Luzon. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said light to moderate rains are being experienced over Camiguin Island and in Aparri, Buguey, Camalanuigan, Lallo and Santa Ana in Cagayan. PAGASA said these may persist for one to two hours. “All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards,” PAGASA said.
