State of calamity declared over Calabarzon due to Taal eruption

(Eagle News)–An alert level 2 remained hoisted over Taal on Thursday, Feb. 27. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology made the report as it announced monitoring a moderate emission of steam-laden plumes that rose 300 meters between 9 p.m. yesterday and 3 a.m. today. 3.9-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Thursday, Feb. 27. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 3:38 a.m., had its epicenter 417 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. Depth of focus was 92 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.2-magnitude quake jolts Pangasinan

(Eagle News) — A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck Pangasinan on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 8:23 a.m., had its epicenter 94 kilometers southwest of Agno. It had a depth of focus of 16 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

4.0-magnitude quake hits Zamboanga del Norte

(Eagle News)–A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck Zamboanga del Norte on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 5:38 a.m., had its epicenter 44 kilometers southwest of Siocon. Depth of focus was one kilometer. An instrumental intensity I was recorded in Zamboanga City. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Tuesday, Feb. 25. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 7:34 a.m., had its epicenter 110 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso. Depth of focus was one kilometer. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 7 p.m., had its epicenter 24 kilometers southeast of Gonzaga. It had a depth of focus of 13 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
