3.1-magnitude quake hits S. Leyte

(Eagle News)–A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Southern Leyte on Friday, Feb. 28.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 2:58 a.m., had its epicenter 5 kilometers northwest of Pintuyan.

It had a depth of focus of 33 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
