4.2-magnitude earthquake strikes off Catanduanes early Thursday, April 6

(Eagle News) — A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Catanduanes early Thursday, April 6. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 2:45 a.m. It said it was an aftershock of the 6.2-magnitude earthquake that hit offshore Catanduanes on April 4. The epicenter of the quake on Thursday was 125 kilometers southeast of Gigmoto. The depth of focus was 48 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.0-magnitude earthquake strikes off Surigao Del Norte

(Eagle News)–A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao Del Norte on Wednesday, April 5. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 4:56 p.m. The epicenter was 26 kilometers southeast of General Luna. The depth of focus was 16 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

PNP launches manhunt operation vs suspect in university student’s robbery-slay in Cavite

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 8:44 a.m. The epicenter was 57 kilometers southeast of Sarangani Island. The depth of focus was 25 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

DILG chief Abalos says another suspect in Degamo slay has surrendered
