4.4-magnitude earthquake strikes off Eastern Samar

(Eagle News) — A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Eastern Samar on Tuesday, May 23.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 6:02 a.m.

The epicenter was 58 kilometers northeast of San Julian.

The depth of focus was 15 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
