Taal still on alert level 2

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said activity in the main crater in the past 24 hours has been characterized by a weak emission of steam-laden plumes rising 50 to 100 meters high. 3.8-magnitude quake hits Sarangani

(Eagle News)–A 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck Sarangani on Monday, Feb. 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 8:23 a.m., had its epicenter 36 kilometers southeast of Gian. Depth of focus was 14 kilometers. (Eagle News)–A Filipino in Singapore has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, a Foreign Affairs official announced on Sunday, Feb. 23. Undersecretary Brigido Dulay said the Filipino is now isolated in the National Centre for Infectious Diseases.
