3.8-magnitude quake hits Sarangani

(Eagle News)–A 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck Sarangani on Monday, Feb. 24.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 8:23 a.m., had its epicenter 36 kilometers southeast of Gian.

Depth of focus was 14 kilometers.

The following instrumental intensities were recorded:

Intensity I- Kidapawan City; Tupi, South Cotabato; Malungon, Sarangani

No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
