PHL to have cloudy skies, rains

(Eagle News)–The country is expected to have cloudy skies and rainshowers today. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers are also expected in Metro Manila as the easterlies affect the eastern part of the country. Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible. PAGASA said the archipelago is expected to have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.  

DOTr launches COVID-19 hotlines for road, aviation, maritime concerns

Valenzuela City confirms first COVID-19 case

(Eagle News) — Valenzuela City has confirmed its first case of the 2019 coronavirus disease. In a Tweet on its official Twitter account, the Valenzuela government said the case was a 34-year-old female who consulted a private hospital in Manila after experiencing sore throat and fever. (Eagle News) — Health Secretary Francisco Duque III is on self-quarantine for coronavirus disease 2019. DFA: Number of Filipinos who tested positive for COVID-19 in Singapore reaches 11

(Eagle News)–There are now 11 Filipinos who tested positive for the 2019 coronavirus disease in Singapore, the Department of Foreign Affairs said. The DFA said this was after a Filipino national tested positive for COVID-19 on March 17. The patient is currently confined in a hospital and is in isolation, the DFA said. PHIVOLCS lowers Taal alert level due to low-level volcanic quake activity, weak emissions

(Eagle News)–The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology has lowered the alert level on Taal after it noted low-level volcanic earthquake activity and weak emissions of steam-laden plumes, among others.
