PHL registers 5453 COVID-19 cases

Recoveries slightly overtake deaths  (Eagle News)–The number of coronavirus disease 2019 cases in the country has reached  5453, with the addition of 230 cases, the Department of Health said on Wednesday, April 15. According to the DOH, the Philippines has registered 53 new recoveries too, bringing the total to 353. Fourteen new deaths have been recorded, for a total of 349. IATF: Gov’t working on recovery plan as expected lifting of ECQ nears

PNP says 55 of its own are COVID-19-positive

(Eagle News)–Five more police personnel have contracted the coronavirus disease 2019, bringing the total to 55, the Philippine National Police said. According to the PNP,  of the five new cases, two were policemen from Laguna, while the other three were personnel from Muntinlupa, Taguig and Bulacan. Fire hits residential area in Manila

(Eagle News)–A fire hit a residential area in Manila on Wednesday, April 15, displacing around 40 families. The Bureau of Fire Protection said the fire, which struck at 9:32 a.m. in Delpan, also caused P100,000 in damage to property. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. The blaze, which reached the third alarm, was placed under control about an hour later.

NLEx Corp. releases list of toll plazas on NLEx, SCTEx

(Eagle News)–The Northern Luzon Expressway has released its list of toll plazas on NLEx and the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway amid the enhanced community quarantine.
