LPA east of Isabela develops into tropical depression, is named “Julian”

MIAA releases list of operational commercial flights for Friday, Aug. 28

(Eagle News)–Manila International Airport Authority has released its list of operational commercial flights for Friday, Aug. 28: Flight schedules may be subject to changes. COVID-19 cases in PHL breach 205,000 mark with 3,249 additional cases

(Eagle News) — The number of COVID-19 cases in the country breached the 205,000 mark on Thursday, Aug. 27, after the Department of Health reported 3249 additional cases. The DOH said of the 205581 cases, 68357 were active, of which 91.3 percent were mild, 6.6 percent asymptomatic, 0.8 percent severe, and 1.2 percent critical. 78 immigration personnel test positive for COVID-19

(Eagle News)–Seventy-eight immigration personnel have tested positive for COVID-19. Immigration  Commissioner Jaime  Morente said that of the 78, 29 have already recovered and one was admitted to the hospital. He said 44 employees who are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms are currently housed in quarantine facilities while awaiting recovery or undergoing treatment. DILG: Additional 10,000 contact tracers to be hired for Metro Manila

(Eagle News)–Over 10,000 additional contact tracers will be hired for Metro Manila, Interior Spokesperson Jonathan Malaya said on Thursday, Aug. 27.
