4.2-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental early Sunday

(Eagle News)–A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Sunday, Jan. 28. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 2:29 a.m. The epicenter was 107 kilometers southeast of Balut Island. The depth of focus was 165 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.1-magnitude earthquake strikes off Surigao del Sur early Saturday

(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur early Saturday, Jan. 27. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that shook the province on December 2, 2023, hit at 5:58 a.m. The epicenter was 128 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan. The depth of focus was 29 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

At least 35 schools pilot-testing DepEd’s new K to 10 curriculum: PBBM
