PNP COVID-19 recovery tally at 6,862 with 76 additional recoveries

(Eagle News)–Seventy-six more policemen have recovered from COVID-19. The Philippine National Police said with the additional recoveries, the PNP COVID-19 recovery tally rose to 6862 as of Wednesday night. Twenty-four more COVID-19 cases pushed the total to 7324. Of these, the PNP said 439 were active. There were no additional deaths reported, which means the death toll remains at 23. DFA reports 16 more COVID-19 cases, 3 more recoveries among Filipinos abroad

(Eagle News)–Sixteen more COVID-19 cases have been reported among overseas Filipinos. The Department of Foreign Affairs said with the addition, the COVID-19 tally of Filipinos abroad stands at 11380. Three more recoveries pushed the recovery total to 7357. There was no additional COVID-19 fatality among overseas Filipinos, which means the death toll remains at 828. 5.1-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Norte early Thursday

(Eagle News)–A 5.1-magnitude earthquake hit Surigao del Norte early Thursday, Nov. 5. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at 2:27 a.m. Its epicenter was 10 kilometers southeast of Burgos. PHIVOLCS said the earthquake had a depth of 28 kilometers, and was tectonic in origin. Instrumental intensity II was recorded in Surigao City. No damage to property was reported but aftershocks were expected.

DOH reports 987 more COVID-19 cases; 140 more recover

(Eagle News)–COVID-19 cases in the country breached the 388,000 mark on Wednesday, Nov. 4, after the Department of Health reported 987 more cases. This is the lowest number of additional cases reported in a day since July. According to the DOH, of the 388,137 total cases, 8.2 percent or 31679 were active.
