DOTr: Vaccinated APORs can ride LRT-2, MRT-3 and PNR trains for free on selected hours

PNP COVID-19 tally rises to 33,303

(Eagle News) — Over 100 more COVID-19 cases have been reported among police personnel. Philippine National Police data showed the additional 132 cases pushed the total PNP COVID-19 cases to 33303. Of these, 1813 are active. PNP recoveries also rose to 31391 including the additional 86 recoveries. The PNP COVID-19 death toll remains at 99, with no additional deaths reported. DFA: 49 Filipinos still in Afghanistan

(Eagle News) — Forty-nine Filipinos remain in Afghanistan following the evacuation of more Filipinos amid the uncertain security situation in the country. According to the Department of Foreign Affairs, 158 have already been evacuated after the Philippine Embassy in Pakistan arranged the repatriation of 30 Filipinos who are now in Pakistan. PNP: Over 149,000 violators warned, sanctioned during 2-week ECQ in NCR

MIAA releases list of operational commercial flights for Saturday, Aug. 21

(Eagle News) — The Manila International Airport Authority has released its list of operational commercial flights for Saturday, Aug. 21: Flight schedules may change at any given time. MIAA advised passengers to coordinate with their airlines first prior to the scheduled travel as a result. The travel ban on India and nine other countries has been extended. Metro Manila is under a modified enhanced community quarantine until the end of the month.

Over 5.3 million students enrolled for SY 2021 to 2022 so far: DepEd
