106 volcanic quakes monitored in Bulusan in last 24 hours: PHIVOLCS

(Eagle News) — Over 100 volcanic earthquakes were monitored in Bulusan in the last 24 hours. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the 106 volcanic earthquakes included 48 volcanic tremors lasting 20 minutes. Sulfur dioxide emissions were also pegged at 4627 tons/day and a strong plume steam reaching 500 meters high was also monitored. Phreatic eruption detected in Bulusan anew; alert level 1 still in place

(Eagle News)–A phreatic eruption was detected in Bulusan early Sunday, June 12, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said. Alert level 1 still in place (Eagle News) — Twenty-nine volcanic earthquakes were monitored in Bulusan in 24 hours. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, one phreatic eruption that lasted 17 minutes was also detected. A steam plume reaching 150 meters was also monitored.
