(Eagle News)–Tropical Storm “Nimfa” has accelerated as it moves in a north northwest direction. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said as of 3 a.m., the center of the tropical storm was estimated  at 580 kilometers east northeast of Basco, Batanes, packing  maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
