“Nimfa” now outside PAR but monsoon rains to persist in M. Manila, rest of Luzon

(Eagle News)–“Nimfa” is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

In its latest advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Severe Tropical Storm “Nimfa,” which has slightly intensified, left PAR at 2 a.m.

Between today and tomorrow morning, though, PAGASA said the southwest monsoon will bring scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

The weather bureau said sea travel is risky, especially for small seacraft, over the seaboards of Northern Luzon and the eastern seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon due to “potentially rough to very rough sea conditions.”

The other seaboards of the country will have moderate to rough conditions.
