Cloudy skies in parts of PHL as southwest monsoon affects Northern, Central Luzon

(Eagle News)–Cloudy skies are expected in parts of the country as the southwest monsoon affects Northern and Central Luzon.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms as a result, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

PAGASA said  flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to  localized thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon and the western section of Central Luzon will have strong winds and rough coastal waters.

Visayas and the rest of Luzon, PAGASA said, will have moderate to strong winds and moderate coastal waters.

Mindanao will have moderate winds too but slight to moderate coastal waters.
