The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 161 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso at 6:24 a.m. PHIVOLCS said the depth of focus of the quake was 103 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

An instrumental intensity I was felt in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro; Bacoor City; and in Quezon City. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
