3.7-magnitude quake hits Antique

(Eagle News)–A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck Antique early Thursday, Sept. 5.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 17 kilometers northeast of Valderrama at 5:14 a.m.

Depth of focus was 3 kilometers.

The following intensities were reported:

Intensity IV-Valderrama, Antique

Intensity III-Passi City, Iloilo

The following instrumental intensities were reported:

Intensity IV- Valderrama, Antique
Intensity III – Tapaz, Capiz
Intensity II- Bago City, Negros Occidental
Intensity I – Malinao, Aklan; San Jose City and Sebaste, Antique; Jamindan, Capiz

No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
