4.0-magnitude quake hits Agusan del Norte

(Eagle News)–A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck Agusan del Norte on Monday, Sept. 9.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 15 kilometers southeast of Remedios Romualdez at 11:14 a.m.

Depth of focus was 13 kilometers.

The following intensities were reported:

Intensity III – Remedios Romualdez, Agusan del Norte; Sibagat, Agusan del Sur
Intensity II – Butuan City, Agusan del Norte; Surigao City, Surigao del Norte

Instrumental Intensity:
Intensity I – Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental

No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
