Alert level 3 still hoisted over Taal as emission of steam-laden plumes, seismic activity continue

(Eagle News)–An alert level 3 remains hoisted over Taal volcano as it continues to emit steam-laden plumes 50 to 100 meters high. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said in its latest bulletin on Thursday, Feb. 6 ,that the Taal Volcano Network also recorded 132 volcanic earthquakes including three  low-frequency events and eleven harmonic tremors. PHIVOLCS: Two solar panels used for monitoring Mayon stolen from observatory

(Eagle News)–Alert level 3 remains hoisted over Taal as it continues to spew steam-laden plumes and its seismic activity. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said activity in the main crater in the past 24 hours has been characterized by weak emission of steam-laden plumes 50 to 100 meters tall. (Eagle News) — A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Tuesday, Feb. 4. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 8:28 p.m., had its epicenter 375 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. Depth of focus was two kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

3.0-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Tuesday, Feb. 4. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 12:13 p.m., had its epicenter 35 kilometers northeast of Jose Abad Santos. Depth of focus was 143 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.5-magnitude quake hits Pangasinan

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Pangasinan on Tuesday, Feb. 4. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said he quake, which struck at 5:31 a.m., had its epicenter 94 kilometers southwest of Agno. Depth of focus was six kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Monday, Feb. 3. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 2:56 a.m., had its epicenter 363 kilometers southwest of Sarangani. Depth of focus was 85 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 3:54 a.m., had its epicenter 171 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. It had a depth of focus of 136 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
