Batuan, Masbate vice mayor shot in Manila

(Eagle News)–The vice mayor of Batuan, Masbate was shot in Manila on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Reports identified the victim as Charlie Yuson III. Wilfredo Pineda and Alberto Alforte were also injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 14 kilometers southwest of Batuan at 7:02 a.m. The depth of focus was 6 kilometers.
