(Eagle News)–The vice mayor of Batuan, Masbate was shot in Manila on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Reports identified the victim as Charlie Yuson III.
Wilfredo Pineda and Alberto Alforte were also injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
In February, police raided the house and resort of Yuson and of his son,the town mayor, Charmax Jan Altajeros Yuson, in Barangay Canvañez, and confiscated high-powered firearms.
The police had said they raided the places following reports the father and son tandem was maintaining a private army.
Charges for illegal possession of firearms were filed against the Yusons.
