DOT: 305 establishments in Boracay now accredited

(Eagle News)–Over 300 establishments have been accredited in Boracay. The Department of Tourism said as of Thursday, Jan. 10, the 305 establishments translate to 10,515 rooms. Boracay was shut down for six months in 2018 to pave the way for its rehabilitation. This was after President Rodrigo Duterte called the island a “cesspool.” The island was reopened in October, with authorities also limiting the number of tourists allowed.
