(Eagle News)–Over 8,000 Filipinos abroad were repatriated by the Department of Foreign Affairs last week. The DFA said with the 8831 more repatriated, the  total number of repatriated overseas Filipinos rose to 254,785 since the start of repatriation efforts amid the COVID-19 pandemic in February. DFA repatriates 17 Filipinos from Myanmar

(Eagle News)–The Department of Foreign Affairs has recently repatriated 17 Filipinos from Myanmar. In a statement, the DFA said the Filipinos arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Nov. 3 via a  special relief flight from Yangon to Manila. The Department of Foreign Affairs said the COVID-19 death toll among Filipinos abroad therefore remains at 828. Seven additional COVID-19 cases, however, pushed the total to 11417. DFA: 37,095 overseas Filipinos repatriated in October

(Eagle News)–Over 37,000 overseas Filipinos were repatriated by the government in October. The Department of Foreign Affairs said with the 37,095, the number of Filipinos abroad repatriated amid the COVID-19 pandemic  now stands at 237,363. The DFA said of the  total, 77,326 or 32.58 percent were  sea-based while 160,037 or 67.42 percent were  land-based.
