  MONTREAL, Canada (AFP) — Canada surpassed 500,000 coronavirus cases Saturday, according to official figures, recording a 25 percent increase in just two weeks. Heavy rainfall advisory raised over parts of N. Luzon

(Eagle News) — A heavy rainfall advisory has been raised over parts of Northern Luzon. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Aurora is under an orange rainfall warning which means flooding and landslides are threatening. Quirino and southern Isabela, PAGASA said, are under a yellow rainfall warning. PAGASA said that means landslides in flood and landslides-prone areas are possible. (Eagle News) — Thirteen more overseas Filipinos have recovered from COVID-19. The Department of Foreign Affairs said with the additional recoveries, the COVID-19 recovery tally rose to 8126. Forty-five more COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad increased the total to 12623. No additional fatality was reported, which means the death toll remains at 863. 4.3-magnitude quake hits Eastern Samar

(Eagle News) – -A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck off Eastern Samar early Sunday, December 20. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 4:40 a.m., had its epicenter 93 kilometers northeast of Homonhon Island. It had a depth of 24 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
