4.8-magnitude quake strikes off Surigao del Sur early Sunday, June 6

(Eagle News) — A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur early Sunday, June 6. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at 4:28 a.m. It had its epicenter 56 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan. The following intensities and instrumental intensities were reported: Reported Intensities: Intensity III -Bislig City Instrumental Intensity Intensity I -Bislig City No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

(Eagle News) — The Manila International Airport Authority has released its list of operational commercial flights for Sunday, June 6: Flight schedules may change at any given time. MIAA advised passengers to secure confirmation of their flights as only those with the confirmation will be allowed entry into the airport premises. DOH reports 6955 more COVID-19 cases

(Eagle News)–COVID-19 cases in the Philippines reached 1262273 on Saturday, June 5, after the Department of Health reported 6955 additional cases. Of the total cases, 59543 were active, according to recent DOH data. Of these, 93.5 percent were mild, 2.4 percent asymptomatic, 1.7 percent severe, 1.3 percent critical, and 1.16 percent were moderate cases. Recoveries rose to 1180998, including the additional 8109 ones. The death toll 21732 reached , with the addition of 195 deaths. […]

(Eagle News)– Over 200 more COVID-19 cases have been reported among police personnel. The Philippine National Police said the additional 203 cases pushed the PNP COVID-19 total to 24691.
