QC fire leaves at least three people dead

(Eagle News)–At least three people were killed after a fire gutted a house in Quezon City early Friday, Oct. 11. Authorities have yet to identify the victims in the blaze that hit the two-storey house in Blue Ridge A Subdivision past 2 a.m. The fire reached the second alarm. It was put out past 3 a.m. Authorities are  still investigating the cause of the fire.

Manila mayor Moreno orders closure of Isetann Mall for violating city ordinances, operating without proper permit

Official: Bomb threat disrupts classes at PNU

(Eagle News)–Students and teachers at the Philippine Normal University  were forced to evacuate to the university quadrangle on Thursday, Oct. 10, after a bomb threat was sent via text message to a faculty member. US Embassy, affiliated offices closed on Monday, Oct. 14

(Eagle News)–The United States Embassy will be closed on Monday, Oct. 14. In an advisory, the US embassy also closed were its affiliated offices. The advisory said this was in celebration of Columbus Day, an American holiday which commemorates the arrival of Christopher Columbus to the Americas. The US embassy said regular operations will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
