(Eagle News) — Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo started his “commute challenge” as he took an early morning jeepney ride on his way to Malacanang on Friday, October 11.

In photos sent thru Viber, Panelo can be seen wearing a white polo and matching white cap, as he rode a jeepney.  The other passengers sitting inside can also be seen in one of the photos, apparently a selfie shot.

In one photo, he also took a shot of the driver of the jeepney he was riding in.    Panelo started sending his “commute challenge” photos at 5:26 a.m.

Panelo, on Thursday, said he was accepting the “commute challenge” posed by Anakbayan and Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU).

He initially described the dare as “silly” but took it anyway to experience what a daily commuter feels amid the ongoing transport problems hounding Metro Manila.
