(Eagle News)–Operations of the Light Rail Transit 2 will start earlier beginning Monday, Oct. 14. In an advisory, the LRT- 2 said trains will start ferrying passengers at 5 a.m., an hour earlier than before. Guevarra says blast at Bilibid shows “magnitude of security problem” there; probe under way

(Eagle News)–Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra on Friday, Oct. 11, announced a probe into the explosion that rocked the New Bilibid Prison amid ongoing clearing operations there. Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over M. Manila, other areas

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over Metro Manila and other areas. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are also expected over Bataan, Rizal, Zambales and Quezon within the next two hours. “All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.
