(Eagle News)–The Department of Transportation has suspended several private emission test centers for alleged falsification of emission test results.
In a statement, the DOTr said a preliminary suspension order was served by the agency’s Investigation Security and Law Enforcement Staff against:
1. VIELLE EMISSION TESTING CENTER,
Tala St., San Ramon, Dinalupihan, Bataan
2. REDGE EMISSION TESTING CENTER,
Brgy. Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches, Quezon City
3. MRDC SMOKE EMISSION TESTING CENTER, Bambang District I, Pasig City
The suspension order, the DOTr said, is effective for 90 days.
Aside from the centers concerned, copies of the suspension order were served to the PETC IT Service Provider.
The DOTr said the provider “shall be subject to the same penalties should it disregard the said order by continuing to process any data transmitted” by the centers.
