Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over M. Manila, other areas

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over Metro Manila and other areas. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are also expected over Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, and Zambales within the next two hours. “All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.  

Trough of LPA to bring rains in parts of PHL

3.8-magnitude quake hits Cotabato

(Eagle News)–A 3.8-magnitude quake struck Cotabato on Sunday, Nov. 10. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 24 kilometers southeast of Tulunan at 11:16 a.m. Depth of focus was 16 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

PAGASA monitors severe tropical storm outside PAR; Tail-end of cold front to bring rains to several areas

(Eagle News) — The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration is monitoring a tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. PAGASA said Severe Tropical Storm “Nakri” was last spotted 145 kilometers north of Southern Luzon, packing maximum sustained winds of up to 110 kilometers per hour near the center, and gustiness of up to 135 kph. “Nakri” is moving westward at 15 kph. (Eagle News)–Typhoon “Quiel” has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to occasionally heavy rains, however, are being experienced over Baggao, Gattaran, Gonzaga and Lallo in Cagayan and in Ilagan City and Maconacon in Isabela. (Eagle News)–“Quiel” has intensified into a typhoon, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
