(Eagle News)–Over 100 locally stranded individuals were returned to Bicol under the national government’s Hatid Probinsya program. PNR gets two additional train sets

(Eagle News)–The Philippine National Railways now has two more train sets. PNR General Manager Junn Magno said the two new 8100 series Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) sets, which were sent off at the Tutuban station on Thursday, Feb. 20, consist of eight new rail cars. (Eagle News)-Another Philippine National Railways train was damaged after a stone-throwing incident on Wednesday, Jan. 1. The Department of Transportation said the incident, reported in Caloocan at 6:01 p.m., damaged the front glass windshield of a refurbished Rotem train unit. DOTr sees partial operations for PNR trains connecting Bulacan and Manila by end of 2021

The DOTr said  the six railcars purchased from PT Industri Kereta Api will form part of the 37 railcars and three locomotives earlier purchased from the same company. Gov’t extends PNR line from Tutuban, Manila to Los Baños, Laguna

(Eagle News) — The Philippine National Railways has formally extended its rail services to Los Banos, Laguna. In a statement, the Department of Transportation said this was made possible by the addition of new stations and a new train set from Japan. From Tutuban, Manila, the PNR line now extends to  Pansol, Masili, Los Baños, College, and the International Rice Research Institute, after the Calamba station. Man killed after being hit by PNR train in Manila

(Eagle News)–A man was killed after a Philippine National Railways train ran over him on Wednesday, Dec. 19. PNR spokesperson Joseline Geronimo said in a radio interview the man crossed the railway in Pandacan, Manila past 6 a.m. as the train was moving. He was killed on the spot. Although the man has been identified, authorities preferred to withhold his name until after his family has been informed about what happened.  

DOTr reopens Caloocan-Dela Rosa, Makati PNR line; says trains can accommodate around 10,000 passengers
