“Nimfa” intensifies into severe tropical storm

(Eagle News)–“Nimfa” has intensified into a severe tropical storm, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said. In its recent advisory, PAGASA said “Nimfa,” which was estimated 630 kilometers east northeast of Basco, Batanes,  is packing maximum sustained winds of up to 95 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 115 kph. (Eagle News)–Tropical Storm “Nimfa” has accelerated as it moves in a north northwest direction. LPA off Batanes develops into Tropical Depression “Nimfa”

(Eagle News)–The low pressure area spotted off Batanes has developed into a tropical depression, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
