Portion of building in Makati collapses; no one hurt

(Eagle News) — A portion of a condominium building in Makati collapsed on Thursday, April 30. In an interview, Makati Mayor Abby Binay said no one was hurt after a portion of the Jazz Residences on Nicanor Garcia St. collapsed at 10:50 a.m. The cause of the collapse has yet to be determined. Some media reports said, however, that an explosion was heard in the building beforehand. Authorities are still probing the incident.  

Immigration Bureau says foreigners not exempted from PHL laws

MMDA sacks 2 enforcers for allegedly extorting money from delivery drivers in Makati

(Eagle News)–Two Metropolitan Manila Development Authority enforcers were fired for allegedly extorting money from delivery motorcycle drivers in Makati. More than P2.5 billion worth of suspected shabu seized in Makati

(Eagle News) — More than P2.5 billion worth of suspected shabu was seized on Tuesday night in Makati. The Philippine National Police said on Wednesday, Nov. 27, the P2.522 billion worth of suspected illegal drugs were seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Antonio. Chinese national Liu Chao, the PNP said, was arrested. Charges are slated to be filed against the suspect.
