MANILA, Philippines (AFP) — The first Philippine eagle bred in captivity in an effort to save one of the world’s most endangered birds has died from infections, conservationists said Friday. 3.9-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental early Thursday

(Eagle News) — A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Thursday, December 10. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck 96 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso at 3:54 a.m. Depth of focus was 52 kilometers. The quake was of tectonic origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.
