Palace: President Duterte in Davao, to address nation on Thursday

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte is in Davao and will address the country on Thursday, June 4, instead.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the President is checking on Mindanao, and will attend official functions in Davao.

He said these functions include the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases meeting scheduled regularly, and the President’s weekly address to the nation.

“Pupunta po ang ilang myembro ng IATF sa Davao para doon sa address at pagpupulong,” Roque said.

Earlier, Roque said the President returned to Davao on Saturday, May 30.

He said the chief executive would return to the Palace on Sunday, May 31.

Since the start of the community quarantine in the country, the President usually holds his public speeches on Mondays.
