(Eagle News)-A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Davao del Sur on Wednesday, Dec  18. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 11 kilometers southwest of Kiblawan at 1:32 p.m. Depth of focus was 16 kilometers. The following instrumental intensities were recorded: Intensity III – Malungon, Sarangani Intensity II – Koronodal City, Tupi, South Cotabato, Kidapawan City No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 8 kilometers southeast of Kiblawan at 3:54 a.m. Depth of focus was 13 kilometers. (Eagle News)–Over 100 aftershocks were recorded as a result of the 6.9-magnitude quake that struck Davao del Sur on Sunday, Dec. 15.
