(Eagle News) — A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck Davao del Sur on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 28 kilometers southeast of Padada at 4:18 a.m.
Depth of focus was 9 kilometers.
The following intensities were recorded:
Intensity V – Digos City
Intensity IV – General Santos City
No damage to property was recorded, but aftershocks were.
