PHIVOLCS monitors 48 quakes at Taal; alert level 3 stays

(Eagle News)–Forty-eight earthquakes were monitored at Taal in 24 hours. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said three small phreatomagmatic eruptions also occurred at the volcano, which remains under alert level 3. PHIVOLCS: Taal still under alert level 3

(Eagle News) — An alert level 3 remains over Taal with the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology still monitoring “high activity.” PHIVOLCS said in 24 hours, it monitored 28 earthquakes and one “explosion-type”  with low background tremor at the volcano. A steam plume reaching as high as 3,000 meters was also observed. PHIVOLCS: 221 earthquakes monitored at Taal in 24 hours

(Eagle News) — Over 200 volcanic earthquakes were monitored at Taal in 24 hours. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the 221 quakes at the volcano, which remains on alert level 2, included 29 low-frequency volcanic earthquakes and 192 volcanic tremor events with durations of one 135 minutes. DFA raises alert level 2 for Filipinos in Myanmar
