COVID-19 cases in PHL reach 276,289 with 3,375 additional cases reported today

(Eagle News)–COVID-19 cases in the country breached the 276,000 mark on Thursday, Sept. 17, after the Department of Health reported an additional 3375 cases. The DOH said of the 276289 total cases, 63408 were active. Of these, 87.5 percent were mild, 8.7 percent asymptomatic, 1.1 percent severe, and 2.7 percent critical. Gov’t allows return of LSIs to Western Visayas following IATF resolution

Light to moderate rains expected in other parts of PHL (Eagle News)–An orange rainfall warning has been raised over Palawan, Kalayaan Islands and Occidental Mindoro. 3.8-magnitude quake strikes off Zamboanga del Norte

(Eagle News)–A 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Zamboanga del Norte on Thursday, Sept. 17. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 7:32 a.m., had its epicenter 12 kilometers southwest of Baliguian. It had a depth of 41 kilometers and was tectonic in origin. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
