3.3-magnitude quake hits Negros Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck Negros Oriental early Saturday, Sept. 19. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 2:31 a.m., had its epicenter six kilometers southwest of Valencia. It had a depth of six kilometers. An instrumental intensity I was recorded in Sibulan. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

DOTr: Over 206,000 OFWs have so far returned to provinces under Hatid-Tulong program

(Eagle News)–Over 206,000 Overseas Filipino Workers have returned to their respective provinces under the government’s Hatid-Tulong program. The Department of Transportation said the 206,389 OFWs were as of Sept. 17. Of these, 64242 were transported by land, while 96803  returned to their provinces via air transport. 9 volcanic quakes, steam and sulfur dioxide emissions monitored at Kanlaon

(Eagle News)–Nine volcanic earthquakes were reported at Kanlaon in 24 hours. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said steam and sulfur dioxide emissions were also monitored at the volcano, which remains on alert level 1. PNP reports 74 additional COVID-19 recoveries

(Eagle News)–The Philippine National Police has reported 74 more COVID-19 recoveries among police personnel. The PNP said with the new recoveries, the total rose to 3924 as of Friday night. Forty-four additional COVID-19 cases pushed the tally to 5329. Of these, the PNP said 1388 were active.
