DFA reports 19 more COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad

(Eagle News) — Nineteen more COVID-19 cases have been reported among Filipinos abroad. According to Department of Foreign Affairs data,  the additional cases pushed the COVID-19 total number of cases among overseas Filipinos to 13779. Twenty-three new recoveries pushed the recovery total to 8817. 25 more police personnel recover from COVID-19

(Eagle News)– Twenty-five more police personnel have recovered from COVID-19. The Philippine National Police said with the additional recoveries, the PNP COVID-19 recovery tally rose to 9269. Fifty-two additional cases, however, pushed the PNP total number of COVID-19 cases to 9809. Of these, 512 were active. No additional deaths were reported, which means the death toll remains at 28. Canadian study says oral medicine effective in treating Covid-19

MONTREAL, Canada (AFP) — A major clinical trial shows that an inflammatory drug called colchicine is effective in treating Covid-19 and reduces the risk of complications from the disease, doctors in Canada said.
