3.8-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental early Monday, April 26

(Eagle News) — A 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Monday, April 26. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 5:21 a.m. It had its epicenter 37 kilometers northeast of Cateel. The earthquake’s depth of focus was 37 kilometers The following instrumental intensities were reported: Intensity I – Bislig City, Surigao del Sur No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

PHL COVID-19 cases breach 997,000 mark

(Eagle News) — The number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines breached the 997,000 mark on Sunday, April 25, after the Department of Health reported 8162 additional cases. According to DOH data, of the total 997523 cases, 77075 were active.
