(Eagle News)–A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Ilocos Sur on Sunday, July 25. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 3:44 p.m. It had its epicenter 58 kilometers northwest of Candon. The depth of focus was 17 kilometers. The following instrumental intensities were reported: Intensity II- Vigan City Intensity I-Sinait, Ilocos Sur; Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

Of these, 93.4 percent were mild, 1.2 percent asymptomatic, 2.3 percent were severe, 1.4 percent critical, and 1.63 percent were moderate.
