(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake rocked Davao Oriental on Monday, May 13. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck 83 kilometers southeast of General Generoso at 6:55 a.m. The earthquake, which was of tectonic origin, had a depth of focus of 17 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 38 kilometers northwest of Calayan at 4:59 p.m. An intensity III was reported in Aparri, Cagayan. The following instrumental intensities were also recorded: Intensity II – Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Claveria, Cagayan No damage to property was recorded but aftershocks are expected.
