5.2-magnitude quake hits Cagayan

(Eagle News)–A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck Cagayan on Sunday, May 12.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 38 kilometers northwest of Calayan at 4:59 p.m.

An intensity III was reported in Aparri, Cagayan.

The following instrumental intensities were also recorded:

Intensity II – Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Claveria, Cagayan

No damage to property was recorded but aftershocks are expected.
