The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Zambales within the next 30 minutes to one hour. “All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 17 kilometers southeast of Marihatag at 7:52 a.m. Depth of focus was 35 kilometers. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 22 kilometers southwest of Makilala at 8:19 a.m. Depth of focus was four kilometers. Intensity II was felt in Kidapawan City. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
