Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over parts of Mindanao

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over parts of Mindanao.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over Maguindanao, Sarangani, Davao del Sur, Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur within one to two hours.

Thesw conditions are being experienced in Opol, Lugait, Manticao, Naawan, Magsaysay, Claveria, Medina, Talisayan in Misamis Oriental; Don Victoriano Chiongbian, Bonifacio, Ozamis in Misamis Occidental; San Fernando, Quezon, Valencia, Maramag, Sumilao, Baungon, Manolo Fortich, Talakag in Bukidnon; Iligan City; Lanao del Norte;  Bubong, Tagoloan, Kapai, Saguiaran, Piagapo, Lumba-Bayabao in Lanao del Sur; ), Zamboanga del Norte; Zamboanga del Sur;  Siay, Diplahan, Payao, Kabasalan, Titay in Zamboanga Sibugay; and in Columbio, Lutayan, Bagumbayan in Sultan Kudarat.

The same conditions are being felt in Tulunan, Arakan, President Roxas in North Cotabato; Davao City;  Kapalong, Talaingod, San Isidro in Davao del Norte;  Laak, Compostela, New Bataan in Davao de Oro; Cateel, Baganga, Caraga in Davao Oriental; Veruela in Agusan del Sur; and Cabadbaran, Tubay in Agusan del Norte.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impact associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.
