Wife of slain Maute leader released for “further investigation”

(Eagle News) — The wife of one of the slain leaders of the Maute Group has been released by the Department of Justice pending further investigation. MRT train suffers “electrical failure”; Passengers unloaded at Ortigas station

(Eagle News) — At least 800 passengers were unloaded on Tuesday morning after a train suffered another technical problem. The Metro Rail Transit 3 management said a southbound train experienced the electrical failure at 8:21 a.m. The management said the failure was due to “worn-out electrical sub-components.” The affected passengers who were offloaded at Ortigas Station took the next train.

PNP Chief Dela Rosa: Over 300 policemen sacked since I assumed office

(Eagle News) — The operations of the Metro Rail Transit were disrupted on Friday afternoon, January 26, after a train started emitting smoke between the GMA-Kamuning and Araneta Center-Cubao stations.
